Win of Mixed Emotions

The Islanders are now 25-21-6 coming off a 4 – 2 win over the Montréal Canadiens.

Trent Hunter, who has been pulling a string of well played games, scored 2 goals. He now has 15 points in his last 14 games.

Miroslav Satan also scored two goals and looks to be more confident with his shooting.

Unfortunately, the win isn’t as sweet as it should be. Martinek went down in the 1st period with what looks like an ankle injury and will be out 4 – 6 weeks. He is a very important part of the team and one of our best defensemen. Hopefully, the team will continue to win like they did today, and he’ll come back to be the force that he was.
